Last week, the Grepton team spent a full day together at a team building event. What made it special was that Grepton turned 25 this year, and we didn’t want to celebrate quietly within the usual everyday routine. 🎉
At a milestone like this, it’s natural to look back and ahead at the same time. We wanted to bring the two together in a day where professional thinking and shared experiences mattered equally.
A shared start, shared thinking
The day began with a gathering at 8:30 AM, and the joint program kicked off at 9:00. The morning was all about thinking together. We looked back at Grepton’s past 25 years and talked through the key pillars that shape our strategy.
Two panel discussions added variety to the morning. One explored the topic of Sales+, the other the relationship between AI and the flexible organization. The question behind both was the same: how can we collaborate even better, adapt faster and create even more business value?
In the afternoon, the teams took center stage
In the afternoon, we handed the stage over to our colleagues. In mixed teams, we worked on an AI-focused creative project built on a simple premise: find a real problem, then think about what new product or service could offer a valuable solution to it.
Here, AI was not a goal in itself but a tool for creating something new, useful and commercially interesting. During the brainstorming, it also mattered who would gain real value from the solution, and how it could connect to Grepton.
Thanks to the new team compositions, ideas also connected us with colleagues we see less often in our daily work. We saw each other from a slightly different angle, had a great time, and a single shared thought often turned into a great idea.
Dinner, a surprise, and the awards
After the professional program, we continued with a shared dinner from around 6:00 PM, with a little surprise along the way. At 8:00 PM came the awards ceremony, and afterwards, anyone who wanted to could stay on for a drink, some relaxing and good conversation. There was laughter, a great atmosphere and genuine moments that an ordinary day at the office doesn’t always offer.
What we take with us
The real value of the day was that so many of us could finally be in one place, together as one team. A company is worth as much as its team, and even after 25 years, that remains the most important purpose of working together and of days like this.
