Digital progress is playing an increasingly decisive role in the life of manufacturing SMEs. It isn’t just about the fact that introducing a new piece of software or system creates added value on its own – it’s about how effectively a company is able to use these tools, data and processes together, in a coordinated way. We call this state digital maturity.
Why is it worth focusing on this now?
In the period ahead, new EU funding opportunities are expected to open up for manufacturing SMEs as well – these may include programs linked to Hungary’s Economic Development Roadmap, typically of the GINOP Plusz and DIMOP Plusz type. Companies may well need a clear picture of their own digital maturity level and development priorities for these in the future. We can’t yet refer to any specific, unpublished call for proposals, but conscious preparation can already begin now, in good time – so that if a relevant funding source opens up, the company can approach the application process well prepared, with a solid picture of where it stands.
A thorough digital maturity assessment helps manufacturing companies get a realistic picture of the state of their current processes, their level of technological development, and the most important, most worthwhile directions for development.
Who is it recommended for?
It’s aimed primarily at manufacturing SMEs that sense their current systems, spreadsheets and processes are no longer keeping pace with the company’s growth – but who don’t yet know exactly where to start with development. If this sounds familiar, you can check whether your company qualifies for the assessment based on the criteria below:
Headcount
Under 250 employees
Annual revenue
Max. EUR 50 million
Balance sheet total
Max. EUR 43 million

What does the offer include?
Grepton’s team of experts provides interested manufacturing companies with a complimentary, preliminary digital maturity assessment and executive consultation. The goal isn’t an abstract analysis, but practical, immediately usable guidance: where it’s worth starting, in what order, and which technology solutions (MES, BI, ERP) best fit the company’s situation and goals. The resulting picture can also serve as a good starting point for future EU calls – among them, potentially, GINOP Plusz and DIMOP Plusz type programs.
The assessment is therefore a well-founded first step – before any actual development project gets underway.
Preliminary maturity assessment
Complimentary, covering your company's current digital state.
Executive consultation
A short, focused conversation with decision-makers.
First steps
Concrete, practical suggestions to get started.
