2025. from 2 to 4 June, the The Art of the Invisible Force: The Dynamics of Equilibria Near and Far International Scientific Conference, which will honour the work of Professor Bálint Érdi with the participation of distinguished national and international researchers. The event will take place in the Main Hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where lectures will be given over three days on the most topical issues in astronomy, space research and applied technologies.
Grepton Zrt. will also be present at the conference, not only as a sponsor but also as a speaker in the programme on 4 June. On this day, our colleague Franz M. Krumenacker, technical coordinator of the WREN project, will present the WREN-1 mission.
The WREN-1 project aims at a customised CubeSat platform application for agricultural land monitoring – in particular for the prediction of soil moisture distribution.
The satellite entered orbit in August 2024, and uses multispectral and infrared cameras, among others, to take measurements. The data collected will allow precise assessment of vegetation and soil conditions, supporting sustainable water management and precision agriculture practices.
The presentation will also cover the technological challenges of the project, such as optimising the communication system and calibrating the ADCS (Automatic Control and Stability System), as well as data analysis and modelling solutions for practical applications.
With a development-oriented approach, we work to strengthen research and development and domestic technological competences – whether in space or in the agricultural challenges of the Earth.
