Digital Design Library

Digital Design Library

A digital design library is an electronic platform or system that can be used by designers, architects, engineers, project managers and other professionals in the design and construction process, e.g. for road, rail or intermodal hubs. The purpose of this digital tool is to manage and document plans, drawings and other design documentation generated during construction or design projects more efficiently.

Fast access, efficiency

Digital Design Library offers the ability to digitally store your designs with all its associated benefits. Any version of digitally captured designs is easily accessible from anywhere, thanks to advanced versioning and file system storage. Complex, multi-step and multi-stakeholder review and approval processes can also be easily tracked using the application. During any planning process, new, modified versions of the plans are created, which are time-consuming and complex to keep up to date.

Full digital design process

The entire design process is digital, and once the design is complete, the original, editable version is available in DVG format. The original design will be recorded in PDF format, electronically signed by the designer, and will include all the review comments.

Project Management

The application not only helps the planning process, but also provides important support from a project management perspective. Facilitates the approval by the co-authorities at the building authorities, allowing easy sorting/transmission of files and plans to the authorities. The system offers flexible management of plan packages, the possibility to mark them, mark versions and attach other documents. Privilege-based access provides ad hoc access, for example for courts, and the possibility to attach documents of permits or even drone flights. The system allows not only the management of plan sheets and plan packages, but also the upload of related documents, all controlled by access rights. The use of QR codes provides additional functionality for easy access to documents, and the printing of plan sheets also displays the QR code, which can be particularly useful in construction areas for displaying dynamic data. By combining project and document management, the Digital Plan Library becomes an application that provides a targeted solution to the problems of companies dealing with plans.
